Hall stand in country hotel
This is in the dining room of the Pig 'n Whistle hotel in Bathurst. The dresser would probably have been locally made in late Victorian or Edwardian times after an English design. The pestle in the brass wastepaper basked is a tourist version of a traditional Xhosa stirrer used in brewing sorghum beer.
